Copper Phthalocyanine (CPC) is the core building block for all Phthalocyanine Blues and Greens, serving as the precursor to pigments such as PB15:1, PB15:3, PB15:4, Green 7 and Green 36. Scientifically defined as a tetraazatetrabenzoporphin, it is characterised by intense absorption in the visible spectrum, most notably the Q-band at 657.5 nm and a distinctive four-fold axis of symmetry as a polyene chromogen.
Lona is among the few global producers to offer Hysol-based CPC, giving our crude exceptional purity, consistent crystal structure, and high colour strength. This ensures reliable conversion into downstream pigments while meeting the stringent requirements of international colourant standards.
With decades of experience and modern process discipline, our CPC provides customers with a stable, high-quality raw material trusted worldwide for pigment manufacturing.
Process: CPC is manufactured by Urea-Phthalic melt process using high boiling solvent and Copper Chloride.
